Tales of the South Pacific, Day 28, Suva Fiji (Part 2 of 2)

Today was another fairly overcast sail into port…  The bad news today, it’s Sunday and most businesses are closed.  It did not stop me from having a great day, walked 11 miles, talked to a lot of folks, saw a flower or two and visited a couple of nice places.  I started out walking down toward Thurston Gardens and the Fiji National Museum, getting side tracked here and there, just meandering about town…..  The visit to the gardens and museum was great, even ran into some friends there.  The best part, being desperate for some reasonable internet to get updates done, I found a restaurant, that serves Chinese food and has great, high speed internet, no megabyte limitation which is standard at most places…. The food was exceptional and the quantities way too much….   The name of the restaurant is Fong Lee Seafood Restaurant on Victoria Parade.  As of this moment, I can proudly say I am up to date….  Quite sure that will change by tomorrow, but at least I don’t have 60 to do anymore….  The day turned out to be quite good.  This blog is in two parts, this is part 2.

  1. Hi Jeff, Wonderful pictures and posts. Especially liked the clouds and the fish markets. How are your shoes holding up with all your walking? Glad you are having a wonderful time.
