Tales of the South Pacific, Day 12, Sailing into Honolulu, Hawaii

What a magnificent sail into Honolulu harbor this morning…..  The mountain ranges, caught so early in the morning on the northeastern end of the island were spectacular.  Approaching Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach was another highlight of the morning.  One of our fellow Holland America ships, the ms Noordam was already docked in the harbor and what a magnificent vessel she is….  We had a real Hawaiian welcome with Hawaiian music and hula dancers on the bow, well done!  The sail in overall was one of my best coming here a number of times, just loved it.  The highlight of my day was meeting my dear friend Raymund Eslao ashore after our arrival…..  Certainly made my day!
